As a General Manager your mission is to reinforce Border Foods’ CORE values—Accountability, Integrity, Family, Excellence, Teamwork, and Empowerment—while operating the entire restaurant and building a strong team that consistently delivers great food and a friendly experience. Responsibilities & Core Values Accountability & Integrity: Consistently demonstrate integrity in actions and expectations. Guide team members and Shift Leaders to complete all duties while serving safe, quality food. Schedule and deploy the team correctly, monitor performance, and hold members accountable for standards. Ensure a fast, friendly customer experience and maintain point‑of‑sale system integrity. Ensure health and safety standards are met and comply with all laws and guidelines. Family & Teamwork: Create unity by building cross‑functional relationships. Respond to team member questions, resolve employee issues promptly, and provide a safe workplace. Navigate challenging situations, motivate, support, and communicate effectively across audiences. Represent Border Foods in handling customer complaints, demonstrating a sincere approach. Instill a recognition culture, strategic planning, profit generation through P&L interpretation, hiring, and training. Minimize loss through cash handling, inventory control, and waste management. Empowerment: Build team capabilities, identify strengths, and provide learning opportunities. Offer guidance for personal development and career paths, and demonstrate timely coaching. Share ideas, tools, and resources that foster growth. Requirements Minimum of three years restaurant or retail experience, or combined experience and education. Experience with sales building, P&L statements, recruiting, and training. Proven track record of successful hiring and retention. Ability to work early morning, evenings, late night, weekends, and some holidays; schedule may change. This exempt management position requires a minimum of 50 hours per week, plus additional hours as needed. ServeSafe Certified. At least 18 years of age, valid driver’s license, and vehicle insurance. High school diploma or equivalent. Benefits Top pay in the industry: up to $100,000 a year with base pay plus bonus potential. Annual bonus program up to an additional $40,000.
