Regional Sales Manager - Workplace/Voluntary Benefits

**Territory includes parts of the following states: Pennsyvania, New Jersey, Maryland

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re partnering with an established life and employee benefits insurance organization seeking a Worksite Sales Professional to grow its Workplace Solutions business. This is an opportunity for a sales professional with experience in voluntary, ancillary, or group benefits to strengthen an existing territory, develop new distribution relationships, and expand the organization’s presence in the marketplace due to retirement of longtime employee.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Build and maintain relationships with brokers, agents, enrollment partners, and key customer accounts throughout your assigned territory.

Identify and develop new distribution opportunities, particularly with partners who are not yet familiar with the organization’s products.

Strengthen existing relationships to expand product adoption and generate new business.

Develop new business opportunities, move prospects through the sales process, and close deals.

Build territory strategies that support sustainable growth and contribute to overall business objectives.

Use sales tools and resources effectively to deepen distribution and increase market awareness.

Monitor competitor activity, pricing, products, underwriting approaches, and market developments.

Share market intelligence and recommend opportunities to improve products, services, and distribution strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

5+ years of sales experience. 2+ years in voluntary benefits, ancillary benefits, or group benefits.

A demonstrated record of developing strong broker, agent, and customer relationships.

Experience generating new business, expanding distribution, and closing sales.

Strong presentation, negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.

An understanding of employee benefits products, marketplace dynamics, and field underwriting concepts.
