Description American Traveler is hiring an RN for an ICU position requiring an active IL RN license and at least one year of relevant nursing experience. Details Work in the Acute Care/Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting Care for critically ill patients receiving multidisciplinary therapies Night shift schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM 40 hours per week across 5 shifts of 8 hours each Weekend and holiday shifts required as needed Floating required as needed Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted) Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience required ASN required, BSN preferred Experience assisting with intubation, central line insertion, and arterial line insertion and care Experience working with ventilated patients for early mobility Epic EMR charting experience required Additional Information Provide direct nursing care to ICU patients including assessment, care planning, and implementation of nursing interventions Supervise and delegate patient care tasks to nursing assistants and health care technicians (HCTs), validating task completion Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure best patient outcomes Utilize meaningful hourly rounding, bedside reporting, and whiteboards to ensure communication with patients and families Apply critical thinking and nursing judgment to identify and respond to changes in patient condition Report to Nurse Manager and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of care provided Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position RTO not to exceed 7 total days within the 13-week contract These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
