Job Summary The Anchor – Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) is responsible for generating story ideas, gathering information, producing and presenting stories and other content for all platforms including social media and in a manner that is clear, relevant and meaningful to news consumers for a portion of the work week. For the remainder of the work week, be a primary Multimedia Journalist reporting stories and other content for all platforms including social media in a manner that is clear, engaging, and meaningful to news consumers. Ensure all content meets News 12 Network standards for journalistic integrity and production quality. Responsibilities Develop sources, maintain contacts and pursue leads to create original stories. Gather information, video content, interviews, and other elements necessary to produce thorough, high-quality news reports. Shoot, write and edit clearly and creatively. Present well-written, fully documented and creatively produced news stories, series and documentaries for all platforms including social media. Represent News 12 positively in the community in a courteous and professional manner. Participate in promotional activities including public appearances. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Respond to breaking news and other urgent newsroom situations as required. Coach and train as required. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $77,112.00 - $126,684.00 / year.
