Clinical Dietitian

Sentara Health is hiring a Clinical Dietitian in Williamsburg, Virginia This is a Full-Time, Day shift opportunity with great benefits. Job Description The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for managing patients' medical nutrition therapy in accordance with the medical staff-approved clinical practice standards, serving as a resource for nutrition education. Performs comprehensive nutrition assessment within department-approved time frames and documentation. Performs nutrition-focused physical exam when appropriate. Performs malnutrition diagnosis per ASPEN/AND criteria and documents in EMR, follows up per policy. Participates in multidisciplinary patient focused meetings including MDRs and ICU rounds. Provides patient, family, and staff education. Qualifications Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) – Other/National Registered Dietician (RD) – Other/National Basic Life Support (BLS) – Other/National If Bachelor's Degree is in a major other than Dietetics, must complete an ACEND accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics. If not registered Dietitian or RDN at hire, must obtain certification within 9 months. BLS required within 90 days of hire.
