Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: New Hampshire

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day/Night) - 36 hours per week. Schedule includes two days and one night per week.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Labor and Delivery unit is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients experiencing high-risk pregnancies. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess patient needs, develop a plan of care, implement interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and identify problems/needs.
• Create and implement individualized care plans based on patient progress and needs.
• Manage high-risk pregnancies, including conditions such as preterm labor, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
• Provide prenatal testing and support for procedures such as amniocentesis.
• Facilitate childbirth education classes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery/OB nursing experience (required).
• Fetal monitoring experience (required).
• Previous travel nursing experience (highly preferred).
• Current certifications in BLS (AHA), AWHONN, and NRP (required).
• Active RN license in New Hampshire (required).
