We are seeking a friendly, dependable Front Desk Agent to join our team at Hotel Eastlund.

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for welcoming guests, completing check-ins and check-outs, assisting with reservations and guest requests, processing payments, and helping ensure a smooth and enjoyable guest experience.

This position works closely with Housekeeping, Valet, Maintenance, and other hotel departments. Strong customer-service skills, good judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to remain professional in a busy environment are essential.

Compensation:

$19 - $20 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests and complete check-ins and check-outs in a professional and friendly manner.

• Verify guest identification and ensure established credit and payment procedures are followed.

• Review arrivals, reservations, rates, packages, and special requests.

• Process reservation changes and cancellations accurately.

• Respond to guest questions, concerns, and requests.

• Provide information about hotel amenities, transportation, dining, attractions, and local events.

• Answer telephone calls promptly and provide complete and accurate information.

• Process payments, charges, and adjustments accurately.

• Maintain accurate guest and reservation information in the property-management system.

• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Valet, Maintenance, and other departments to meet guest needs.

• Resolve guest concerns professionally and involve management when appropriate.

• Follow established key-control, guest-privacy, data-security, safety, and emergency procedures.

• Communicate effectively with other hotel employees by telephone, radio, and written shift notes.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

• Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience is preferred.

• Experience with OPERA or another hotel property-management system is helpful.

• Strong customer service and guest-relations skills.

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to multitask and remain professional during busy or difficult situations.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to enter information accurately.

• Ability to communicate professionally by telephone, radio, and in person.

• Bilingual or multilingual skills are helpful but not required.

• Availability to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Reliable and punctual attendance.
