Environmental Technician

- Able to lifter at least 40 pounds 2. Able to bend and reach correctly and carefully. 3. Able to follow instructions and work independently 4. Must be able to hold and operate heavy duty vacuum cleaners, buffers, and other electrical equipment. 5. Responsible for scrubbing, mopping, waxing, vacuuming, polishing and stripping floors, in assigned buildings and/or Head Start Center. 6. Responsible for dusting, waxing and polishing furniture in assigned buildings or Head Start Center. 7. Wash windows, woodwork walls and washroom fixtures. 8. Responsible for replenishing washroom supplies. 9. Move office furniture and equipment as needed. 10. Arrange classrooms and meeting area when necessary. 11. Daily empties and cleans wastebaskets, sand jars, receptacles in lobbies, offices, classroom, etc. in assigned areas 12. Sweep and clean sidewalks and driveways. 13. Responsible for working around small children, parents and staff in a tactful manner. 14. Performs other duties as needed.
