Job Summary Responsible for unit/department based clinical orientation and provision of clinical in-service training for new and current clinical associates. Coordinates individualized orientation for all new unit/department associates, plans and implements standardized learning activities, serves as a role model, and provides consultative services. Integrates relevant research outcomes into learning activities and performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Coordinate individualized orientation for new unit/department associates. Provide consultative services to internal and external customers. Integrate relevant research outcomes into learning activities. Perform other job duties as assigned or requested. Education & Formal Training Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Required) Bachelor’s Degree in Allied Health (Preferred) Master’s Degree in Allied Health (Preferred) Master’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred) Work Experience General: 3–5 years (Required) Teaching: 3–5 years (Preferred) Licenses & Certifications Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (Required) Registered Nurse, Tennessee – Tennessee Board of Nursing (Required) Registered Respiratory Therapist: Mississippi – Mississippi State Department of Health (Preferred) Registered Respiratory Therapist: Tennessee – Tennessee Board of Respiratory Care (Preferred) Registered Respiratory Therapist: Arkansas – Arkansas State Medical Board (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of clinical care and proficiency in a specialized clinical field. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills; ability to present effectively to small and large groups. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment. Physical Demands The physical activities include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion; medium work with up to 50 lbs force occasionally and 25 lbs frequently; good balance, coordination, and close visual acuity required; frequent invasive and non‑invasive patient contact; exposure to patient body fluids and hazardous materials; ability to react quickly to emergency situations; frequent travel outside hospital.
