Job Summary Responsible for unit/department based clinical orientation and provision of clinical in-service training for new and current clinical associates. Coordinates individualized orientation for all new unit/department associates, plans and implements standardized learning activities, serves as a role model, and provides consultative services. Integrates relevant research outcomes into learning activities and performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Coordinate individualized orientation for new unit/department associates. Plan and implement standardized learning activities to meet the needs of all levels of clinical associates. Serve as role model/change agent to promote professional and technical development. Provide consultative services to internal and external customers. Integrate relevant research outcomes into learning activities. Perform other job duties as assigned or requested. Education & Formal Training Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Required) Bachelor’s Degree in Allied Health (Preferred) Master’s Degree in Allied Health (Preferred) Master’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred) Work Experience General: 3–5 years (Required) Teaching: 3–5 years (Preferred) Licenses & Certifications Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (Required) Registered Nurse, Tennessee – Tennessee Board of Nursing (Required) Registered Respiratory Therapist: Mississippi – Mississippi State Department of Health (Preferred) Registered Respiratory Therapist: Tennessee – Tennessee Board of Respiratory Care (Preferred) Registered Respiratory Therapist: Arkansas – Arkansas State Medical Board (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of clinical care and proficiency in a specialized clinical field. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills; ability to present effectively to small and large groups. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment. Physical Demands The physical activities include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion; medium work with up to 50 lbs force occasionally and 25 lbs frequently; good balance, coordination, and close visual acuity required; frequent invasive and non‑invasive patient contact; exposure to patient body fluids and hazardous materials; ability to react quickly to emergency situations; frequent travel outside hospital.
