Well-Established Company seeking a Land management/lead landscaper (Conservation) Immediately!
An ideal candidate for this position will performs the land maintenance activities for the Conservancy. The job requires making sure the Conservancy’s preserves are maintained in accordance with the Habitat Conservation Plan.
- Location: Sacramento, CA
- This is a seasonal position on day shift: 5am , 37.5 hours a week
- Pay: $24/hr
Responsibilities:
- Apply a maintenance-minded approach to site assets through routine inspections and daily upkeep tasks.
- Perform light cleaning of water control structures and alert staff to remove minor blockages.
- Maintain awareness of the Habitat Conservation Plan’s Covered Species.
- Locate and identify certain weeds for removal; strays properly identified should be eliminated.
- Maintain accurate inventory of shop tools and field supplies.
- Keep shop spaces clean, organized, and secure. Perform tool cleaning as needed.
- Conduct regular site sweeps to remove minor debris.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and supplies for field projects.
- Provide additional support tasks on an as needed basis.
Job Qualifications:
- Have high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pass a background screening
- California driver’s license (Class C or higher) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to interact effectively with employees and contractors on a professional level.
- Ability to work independently in a field setting.
