Tax Senior Manager/Director

Our client, a growing public accounting firm, is looking for a Tax Senior Manager or Director to take ownership of client relationships, provide strategic tax guidance, and lead day-to-day tax engagements. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with clients and mentoring staff while delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day relationships with a portfolio of small business and high-net-worth individual clients.
• Review and oversee preparation of complex tax returns, including individual, partnership, and corporate filings.
• Provide proactive tax planning strategies tailored to client-specific needs and long-term goals.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client questions, notices, and tax-related matters.
• Lead and mentor staff and seniors, including reviewing work, providing feedback, and supporting development.
• Coordinate and manage multiple engagements, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Research complex tax issues and communicate conclusions clearly to clients and internal teams.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on client service strategies and process improvements.

Qualifications:

• CPA license required.
• 7+ years of public accounting experience, with a focus on tax.
• Strong experience with pass‑through entities, closely held businesses, and high-net-worth individuals.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead engagements independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong technical tax knowledge and research capabilities.
