Position Summary At Oak Street Health, medical assistants act as vital members of the care team, gathering medical information to assist providers. The role focuses on delivering exceptional, community-focused primary care to older adults. Required Qualifications Core Responsibilities Patient Flow: Room patients efficiently, complete vital signs, execute required screenings, and review medications. Clinical Tasks: Perform point-of-care testing (A1C, spirometry, EKGs), blood draws, and administer vaccinations. Administrative Duties: Scan documents into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, request medical records, and process orders for durable medical equipment. Clinic Operations: Stock exam rooms, order supplies, and maintain infection control standards. [1] Preferred Qualifications As an MA, you will accomplish this by assisting in the assessment of patients' health conditions, through screenings and routine diagnostic testing performed Education Education: Graduation from an accredited medical assistant course or required state/national certification. Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a medical assistant. A minimum of 3 years and prior geriatric care experience are strongly preferred. Certifications: Current CPR or BLS Certification; Phlebotomy certification is a plus. Skills: Strong computer proficiency (EMR, Gmail, Epic Google Workspace/MS Office) and a customer-service oriented mindset. [1] Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $18.50 - $31.72 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Our people fuel our future.
