Travel Registered Nurse (RN) / Emergency Dept - Nights

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care of the patient in the Emergency Department; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices.
• Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience required plus at least 2 previous travel assignments completed successfully
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, ESI level 5 training required
• TNCC preferred
• Cerner experience preferred
