Green Sage is open from 8 a.m.–4 p.m., with shifts available between 7 a.m.–4:30 p.m.—no late nights, ever.

RESPONSIBILITIES

A Barista/Prep team member's primary role is to take customer orders, prepare hot and cold beverages, and serve menu items with friendly, individualized attention—while also supporting the kitchen with food prep and basic line cook responsibilities. This role is a great way to build a well-rounded understanding of how the whole café runs, in front and back of house alike.

• Greet every customer with fast, friendly, and personalized service
• Handle customer requests and concerns with patience and a positive attitude
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and potential allergens
• Learn, practice, and safely operate all required equipment
• Take orders quickly and accurately, including proper payment and cash handling
• Prepare hot and cold beverages accurately according to house recipes
• Deliver orders to customers promptly and correctly
• Keep dining areas clean and welcoming through bussing, wiping tables, and general upkeep
• Assist with kitchen duties, including food prep, dishwashing, and basic line cook responsibilities
• Follow proper food safety and sanitation practices in all prep work
• Complete prep, restocking, cleaning, side work, and opening/closing duties per company checklists

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Flexible schedule with weekend availability
• Genuine interest in learning the restaurant business end to end
• High level of professionalism
• Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills
• Reliable transportation
• A team-first attitude and a desire to meet the needs of every customer
• Ability to stand and work on your feet for six (6) or more hours a day
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds regularly
