In this role, you will: Bring Joy and Connection: Share stories, enjoy hobbies, and keep seniors socially engaged and active. Support Daily Independence: Lend a hand with mild to moderate physical tasks that keep a household running smoothly, such as light house cleaning, meal preparation, and light yardwork. Provide Safe Passage: Our focus is primarily on in-home companion support; however,- you may occasionally assist a senior with transportation to local errands or appointments. Offer Specialized Peace of Mind: Provide vital respite care and specialized companionship for families navigating advanced aging needs, including Alzheimer’s, cancer, or post-surgery recovery. What We Are Looking For (Safety & Trust) Because the individuals we serve rely heavily on us, we look for professionals who understand the profound value of consistency. To join our team, you must bring: Physical Agility & Awareness: You should be physically active and responsive enough to manage everyday mild to moderate tasks (bending, lifting, reaching). Above all, you must maintain excellent situational awareness and quick reflexes to ensure environmental safety and provide steady, safe guidance to a senior during a crisis or an emergency, such as a fire Absolute Reliability: Our seniors truly look forward to your visits, and they genuinely need you there. Consistency is vital to their well-being, so we require mature professionals who are deeply committed to their scheduled shifts and rarely call off. Your reliability is the foundation of their safety and peace of mind. A Ready Vehicle: A valid US Driver’s License, a reliable personal vehicle, and current auto insurance to get you safely to and from your appointments at the seniors' homes. Background & Credentials: The ability to pass a thorough criminal background check and personality evaluation. (Note: While a formal medical background isn't required for companion roles, we actively welcome licensed RNs, CNAs, HHAs, and LPN/LVNs for advanced care matches.) Please note that because we thoughtfully match based on compatibility, building your ideal schedule takes a little time. Hours are built up progressively as we find the perfect matches for you, rather than offering full-time hours immediately on day one. This intentional process ensures predictable, stable hours that actually stick. Flexible Availability: You are in complete control of your availability. Because we are a 24/7 care provider, we work with you to build your regular schedule around your specific lifestyle.
