Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Phlebotomist to join a well-established clinical environment committed to excellence in patient care. Responsibilities:

Draw high-quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, using venipuncture, capillary, and other specimen collection methods.

Prepare and label specimens according to established procedures to ensure integrity and accurate processing.

Verify patient identification details, including demographic information and initials, ensuring tubes are labeled in the patient's presence and labels are correct.

Communicate clearly with patients, explaining procedures to facilitate comfort and cooperation while maintaining confidentiality.

Maintain strict documentation and records for each specimen collected, adhering to compliance standards.

Follow all safety protocols and universal precautions to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and an emphasis on process excellence and accuracy.

Support multiple locations as needed, including patient service centers and in-office phlebotomy, with flexibility for weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts.

Promote a professional and positive image to patients, colleagues, and the organization through excellent customer service.

Keep up-to-date with policies, safety standards, and best practices in phlebotomy and specimen handling.

Required Skills:

Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on phlebotomy experience, especially with pediatric and geriatric patients, including capillary collections.

Proven proficiency in specimen processing and handling in a high-volume environment.

Exceptional venipuncture skills with the ability to perform accurately and confidently across diverse patient populations.

Strong communication skills to explain procedures clearly and foster trust.

Attention to detail and commitment to error-free work.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

Proficiency in keyboarding and data entry to record specimen information accurately.

Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record are required if travel is involved.

Nice to Have Skills:

Medical assistant or paramedic training.

Phlebotomy certification (preferred, especially in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Experience working in a patient service center or clinical laboratory.

Customer service experience in retail or service environments.

Knowledge of laboratory information systems and specimen tracking.

Preferred Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Certification in phlebotomy or medical assistant training is highly desirable.

Three or more years of clinical phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Familiarity with specimen processing procedures.

Other Requirements:

Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, based on staffing needs.

Ability to adapt to multiple locations and travel as needed.

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform venipuncture procedures comfortably.
