Ministry Accounting Associate

SUMMARY DESCRIPTIONThe Accounting Associate will assist in the daily operations of the Ministry Accounting Services.This role will assist in managing and overseeing the day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring financial transparency and accuracy in all church-related transactions. The Accounting Associate will play an important role in maintaining financial records, processing contributions,and assisting with budgeting, reporting, and audits. Process invoices, contributions, and payments, ensuring accurate coding and timelyprocessing of all transactions.2. Record and track individual and group donations, ensuring accurate documentation fortax purposes and issuing receipts as needed.3. Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and lossstatements, and budget vs. actual reports for church leadership.4. Help maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring proper classification andaccurate reporting of financial data.5. Assist in preparing the annual church budget and track actual expenditures against thebudget, ensuring accuracy and consistency.6. Follow set standard operating procedures for all accounting services processing7. Document correspondence and scan mailings in appropriate WatersEdge software8.
