Click here to learn more about the Public Health Services Division THE POSITION The Therapist (Senior) provides lead supervision to Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist staff and administers physical or occupational therapy treatments; provides direct physical and/or occupational therapy services to patients on the basis of physician's prescription; consults with school personnel, parents, physicians and representatives of other agencies.
This position will oversee day to day operations and staff in CCS/MTU programs. The Therapist (Senior) will directly supervise the following program staff: Physical Therapists (1 FT, 1 EH), Occupational Therapists (1 FT, 1 EH), Medical Records Technician (1), and Account Clerks (2), will respond to State requests for information, complete program reports, assist with budget preparation and contracts, assist with program referrals/care coordination, ensure quality of care and adherence to MTU statewide program updates/guidance/policies. The position will also coordinate medical/DME clinics; serve as liaison/consultant to parents/vendors/school personnel/community agencies/public; and provide direct therapy evaluation/treatment/consultation to a small caseload. The eligible list created as a result of this recruitment will be used to fill full-time and part-time regular, limited-term or extra-help positions as vacancies occur throughout the County. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Experience: Two years of full-time experience or its equivalent as a Physical Therapist. Education/Training: Possession of a valid license as a Registered Physical Therapist issued by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance.
