Location: Saugerties, NY Employment Type: Temp to Direct Industry: Semiconductor equipment / manufacturing technology
Compensation: $32-$38/hour depending on experience
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8 to 5

As a Buyer, you'll be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and supplies that keep business operations running smoothly. You'll play a key role in ensuring materials are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with production needs.

What You'll Do: * Purchase materials, products, equipment, and supplies in accordance with company policies and procedures
* Negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery terms with vendors to secure the best value
* Identify and resolve vendor-related issues related to specifications, timing, quality, and delivery performance
* Collaborate with internal teams to obtain pricing, specifications, and material requirements
* Monitor production schedules to anticipate and plan material needs
* Assist with expediting critical orders to support production timelines
* Manage vendor consignment inventory, including usage tracking and replenishment reporting
* Maintain accurate records, databases, and procurement documentation
* Communicate effectively across departments to ensure alignment on purchasing needs
* Work independently with moderate supervision while managing multiple priorities

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• Associates degree
• 2+ years purchasing, or related work experience.

What Sets You Apart:

• Knowledge of Encompix/MRP/ERP system.

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to interact with other members of the organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.
