Role
National Account Director - Commercial Payers, responsible for shaping and executing market access strategy for a gene editing therapy launch in the U.S. Objectives include building payer relationships, communicating product value, and securing coverage.
Responsibilities
- encompass leading engagement with major payers, developing tailored account plans, analyzing coverage policies, supporting pricing and contracting strategies, and collaborating internally to ensure market readiness.
- The role involves managing relationships with payers like CVS, Aetna, and Kaiser, and leading negotiations for value-based agreements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech market access, payer account management, or managed markets;
- experience with innovative reimbursement models;
- strong understanding of payer decision processes, formulary management, and specialty pharmacy dynamics;
- proven success in launch environments;
- excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills.

- MBA or advanced degree.
