CB Consulting Group is working with an Am Law-ranked firm in Boston to identify an Insurance Litigation Associate for its commercial litigation practice. The firm represents insurers, reinsurers, and corporate clients in coverage disputes, bad faith claims, and complex litigation across a range of industries.
This position is suited for an attorney with 3–5 years of experience in insurance litigation or a comparable litigation background with exposure to coverage issues, policy interpretation, and related disputes. The role offers the opportunity to work on high-value matters with a nationally recognized team.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle insurance coverage and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and coverage opinions
- Represent clients in depositions, mediations, and court proceedings
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and analysis
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex cases
- Communicate with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel
Candidate Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the Massachusetts Bar (or eligibility to waive in)
- 3–5 years of insurance litigation or complex commercial litigation experience
- Familiarity with coverage issues under general liability, professional liability, and D&O policies
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently within a team structure
