Registered Nurse - Night Shift

The RN partners with our residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care. The position involves working with residents in specialized units, including a unit for Alzheimer's/dementia care, transitional rehabilitation, and long-term care. Key responsibilities include effective use of both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques, understanding behaviors associated with dementia, and providing skilled nursing services.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect care to residents in various specialized units.
• Utilize effective communication techniques to interact with residents.
• Understand and respond appropriately to the behaviors of residents with dementia.
• Administer nursing services including IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Education: Associate's degree in Nursing.
• Licensure: Valid State of Maine or compact RN license.
• Experience: 1-3 years of previous RN experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills required.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and float to other units as needed.

Schedule

This position is for night shifts, from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
