As of July 21, 2025, SCCAP has shifted its membership renewal and joining process to the My APA portal. APA will register division membership for BOTH APA and NON-APA Members. Life Members are members who has reached the age of sixty-five and has been a member of the APA for at least twenty-five years shall become eligible for a dues reduction process, culminating in dues exemption. Disabled members are anyone, regardless of age or length of membership, who has been adjudged totally and permanently disabled, may become exempt from dues. If you are terminating your APA Membership and joining SCCAP as a non-APA member (i.e. Professional Affiliate), or changing membership levels, please contact APA directly to renew: View email address on click.appcast.io SCCAP Membership Categories All memberships are for the calendar year (January 1 – December 31). Those who join between January and early July will join in the current year. Those joining in late July – December, will have membership applied to the next calendar year. To qualify for Professional Affiliate status, an individual may have no membership in APA. Member status and Professional Affiliate status have the same SCCAP membership rights and benefits. To qualify for Associate status, an individual shall be a paid Associate of APA, hold a Master’s degree or two years of graduate study in psychology or a related field at a regionally accredited institution. To qualify for Student Affiliate status, an individual must be pursuing an undergraduate degree, post-bac trainee, graduate education, or training in a field related to the purpose of SCCAP.
