Lead Software Engineer AI Applications

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We need formal training or certification in software engineering concepts plus 5+ years of applied experience.
• We are looking for experience architecting and delivering production large language model applications, including agentic workflows and tool integration patterns.
• We need demonstrated experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools, with the ability to set expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• We require a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations.
• We are looking for familiarity with agentic workflows and frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Autogen, CrewAI, and A2A.
• We need experience building retrieval-augmented generation solutions using embeddings, semantic search, grounding, vector databases, and prompt lifecycle/versioning.
• We require strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to deliver cloud-native services using containers and serverless designs on AWS.
• We need advanced Python programming skills with experience writing production-quality code.
• We are looking for experience building systems using frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar platforms through AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or comparable services.
• We require proven technical leadership skills, including mentoring, driving architecture decisions, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
• We need hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, with the ability to critically assess, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.

• We lead the architecture and hands-on delivery of scalable, reliable agentic AI platforms for enterprise workflows.
• We drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• We apply knowledge of software development life cycle tooling, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered through automation.
• We design and build production-grade AI systems, including agents, skills, memory patterns, guardrails, and tool-use orchestration.
• We architect retrieval and context-engineering approaches such as embeddings, semantic search, grounding, summarization, and prompt/version management.
• We engineer cloud-native AI services on AWS using containers, serverless patterns, event-driven messaging, and distributed data stores.
• We optimize platform performance across latency, throughput, scalability, caching, context efficiency, and cost control.
• We build well-governed APIs and integrations that connect AI capabilities to enterprise platforms, tools, and business processes.
• We establish evaluation, experimentation, regression testing, and observability frameworks to continuously improve quality and agent behavior.
• We mentor senior engineers and shape engineering direction through code reviews, architecture forums, and cross-team technical leadership.
• We leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
