Shipping Coordinator
Coordinate and process all shipping orders in a timely fashion to assure prompt delivery of merchandise to customers and inter-company locations.
Prepare and/or participate in the preparation, distribution or recording of shipping forms, documents and export declarations, and M.A. Customs forms. Determine freight routing and method of shipment, considering weight and type of product, routes available, cost, pick-up and delivery schedules, etc. Contact selected freight line to assure timely pick-up and delivery. Review completed paperwork against packaged material to assure freight consolidations and to verify accuracy of packaging, stenciling, document preparation, etc. Release shipments to comply with delivery schedules. Follow-up on complaints regarding delayed or lost shipments and initiate tracing as required. Expedite delivery of critical or delayed material by determining fastest route. Recognizing or reroute merchandise to ensure prompt delivery. Keep and maintain all records.
