Product Demonstrator Part Time

The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of represented products, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies, intercepting consumers and demonstrating products in a professional manner, and maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements. Responsibilities Has desire and ability to proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner. Effectively communicates the features and benefits of the product. Ability to prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives. Maintains a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals. Properly sets up and prepares Event Table for execution. Achieves 100% execution on assigned work. Assists with preparation for client visits and completes audit corrections. Builds and maintains rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives. Completes expense reports as per Company Policy. Accurately prepares and submits all online requirements on the same day as event execution. Can access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word & Adobe PDF forms. This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company may adjust the role based on business needs or client requirements. Qualifications Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills: Proficient in using and navigating a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems. Certificate, license, or registration: Local food handler permit may be required. Physical Demands: The associate regularly requires standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, reaching overhead up to 65 inches, talking, hearing, visual reading of instructions, stooping, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps or ladders, balancing, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), pushing and pulling a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies and product, preparing foods and beverages using required appliances, including convection oven, coffee maker, electric fryer, microwaves, and being in contact with cleaning supplies. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel. Physical Appearance: Must ensure professional appearance and proper grooming. Properly groomed appearance required. Specific retailer dress code requirements are included in training documents.
