Registered Nurse NICU

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse

Provide specialized neonatal intensive care to critically ill or premature infants in a high-acuity NICU setting. Ensure patient safety, deliver evidence-based care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support infant recovery and family education.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to neonates in the NICU, monitoring vital signs, respiratory status, and growth parameters.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and assist with invasive procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the Cerner EMR system.
• Educate families regarding infant care, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, infection control, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with 2+ years NICU experience, with at least 2 years preferred.
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Experience handling infants requiring complex interventions or high acuity care.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, organization, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including every other weekend and on-call shifts if required.
