As a Security Officer Patrol State Site in Norwich, CT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a professional environment, and help to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and strong communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions when required, and assist with visitor processing in accordance with location protocols and assigned post orders.
• Support daily operations by communicating professionally with staff and the public, following post instructions, and maintaining awareness of changing conditions across the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
