Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to perform in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's benefits process. This role involves conducting focused physical exams and reviewing electronic medical records to complete documentation for the VA, without providing treatment or prescribing medication. Key Responsibilities Conduct disability assessments for Veterans Review and analyze electronic medical records via secure web portals Accurately document exam findings and complete VA forms Provide medical opinions based on assessment findings Qualifications & Skills Active, unrestricted NP or PA license Comfortable with electronic documentation and review of medical records Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills Professional, empathetic, and respectful demeanor when interacting with Veterans Male practitioners preferred to meet VA gender‑specific protocols Additional Details The position is part‑time, with a caseload of 3-5 Veterans per day, and all necessary equipment is provided.
