Job Summary

Hook & Reel is seeking friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused Hosts/Hostesses to be the first point of contact for our guests. The Host is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing guest seating, maintaining waitlists, and ensuring a positive dining experience from arrival to departure. This role requires excellent communication skills, organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest seating arrangements.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist with guest inquiries.
• Maintain an organized seating chart to optimize restaurant flow.
• Communicate effectively with managers, servers, and kitchen staff regarding table availability and guest needs.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the lobby, entrance, and waiting areas.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Support restaurant operations as needed during busy periods.

Job Requirements

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to remain professional and courteous in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic computer and phone skills.
• Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
