Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step Down (PCU) / Med-Surg Telemetry position requiring at least 2 years of acute care experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• 13-week travel contract at a hospital-based Med-Surg / PCU Step Down unit
• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30
• Assignment to unit based on greatest need, either PCU or Med/Surg/Telemetry, matched to the traveler's skills
• Epic EMR is used at this facility
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Floating within skill set required, both onsite and to sites within 40 miles as needed

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Certifications required: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU / Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must possess a U.S. Social Security Number and provide a U.S. home address
• Completion of RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills assessment required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration
• Copies of certifications and license verification (Nursys) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Both Med-Surg and Step Down RNs are eligible to apply, as credentialing requirements are the same for both
• Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
• COVID vaccination is not required for this position
