  • Leadership & Program Review: Review audit results, accidents, near-misses, disciplinary actions, and field safety suggestions with General Foremen and foremen, and meet periodically with management to discuss safety trends and program improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience Level: Minimum 5 years of experience supporting or leading utility safety programs, including at least 3 years of experience in the high voltage electrical transmission and distribution trade.
  • Education & Credentials: Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) with a background in electric transmission and distribution utility services, current First Aid and CPR certification, and a valid CDL and Medical Card.
  • Technical & Safety Skills: Working knowledge of state and federal OSHA laws and regulations, plus the ability to utilize digital safety tools like SiteDocs and equipment inspection platforms.
  • Core Competencies: Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of staff and personality types, with a strong desire and ability to learn the technical aspects of our industry.
  • Location & Licensing Requirements: Must be able to work outside, travel regularly, and maneuver difficult terrain on job sites.
