Are you organized, detail-oriented, and looking for an opportunity to grow your career in transportation and logistics? We're hiring a Transportation Clerk I for a valued client in Wichita, KS. In this role, you'll provide administrative support to the transportation team while helping keep daily operations running efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Schedule is subject to change based on business needs.)

Responsibilities

- Organize customer orders for pickup.

- Greet customers and verify identification.

- Scan and distribute customer orders using a handheld device.

- Obtain required customer signatures on paperwork or handheld devices.

- Process and document orders not picked up at the end of the day.

- Stage returned orders for shuttle transport.

- Communicate unclaimed orders to the appropriate department.

- Gather, organize, and process driver paperwork, including manifests, logs, and vehicle inspection reports.

- Answer incoming phone calls, route calls, and take messages.

- Research transportation and delivery discrepancies reported by drivers.

- Provide support and resolve delivery associate concerns.

- Maintain Driver Qualification files and required DOT documentation, including driver's license status, medical cards, certificates, and motor vehicle records.

- Monitor driver logs and violations through onboard computer systems.

- Review and process DriveCam events for coaching documentation.

- Run daily transportation and operations reports.

- Process inbound freight paperwork and serve as the primary contact for inbound freight issues.

- Order office supplies and act as a liaison between office and warehouse operations.

- Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED required.

- 0-3 years of clerical, administrative, transportation, logistics, or warehouse experience preferred.

- Strong computer, data entry, and organizational skills.

- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

- Basic math skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to read, write, and understand English.

- Ability to maintain accurate records and handle confidential information.

- Physical stamina to perform duties in an office/warehouse environment.
