Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Location: Austin, TX - Onsite

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to reduce manufacturing defects, scrap, and material discrepancies through data analysis, root-cause investigation, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Analyze manufacturing quality data and identify defect, scrap, and non-conformance trends.
Use SQL, advanced Excel, Tableau, and statistical tools to investigate issues and track quality metrics.
Lead corrective action and continuous improvement projects across Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, and Supplier Quality.
Perform root cause and failure analysis for assembly and test issues.
Support supplier quality issues, containment activities, and efforts to prevent production disruptions.
Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve manufacturing processes.
Maintain and improve quality procedures and documented processes.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical field.
3+ years of Quality Engineering experience, preferably in semiconductor, electronics, or advanced manufacturing.
Strong experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and manufacturing quality improvement.
SQL, advanced Excel, and Tableau experience strongly preferred.
Familiarity with Minitab or similar statistical tools.
Lean/Six Sigma experience; Green Belt is a plus.
Strong analytical, project management, and cross-functional communication skills.
Ability to work onsite in Austin, TX.
