DevOps Cloud Developer

Salary: $125,000 - 180,000 per year Requirements:

• We need someone with 5+ years of software or cloud development experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead cloud position, and a bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• We are looking for deep hands-on experience with major cloud providers and hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
• We require advanced programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages for cloud-native work.
• We need strong expertise in automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible, as well as container platforms including Docker and Kubernetes.
• We expect a solid grasp of DevSecOps principles and secure software development practices.
• We want proven experience building, deploying, and supporting mission-critical cloud applications.
• Preferred: IAM/IAT Level 3 certification such as CISM, CCSP, CASP, or CISSP.
• Preferred: Professional cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect.
• Preferred: Experience with Zero Trust Architecture, serverless technologies, and event-driven design patterns.
• Preferred: Familiarity with enterprise security frameworks and compliance standards such as FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and ISO 27001.
• We require the ability to work on site in Huntsville, Alabama.
• We require the ability to maintain an active Top Secret clearance.

• We research, architect, develop, and modify enterprise-wide systems and application software, including DevOps, security, and data analytics solutions.
• We drive, collaborate on, and support system and deployment planning while meeting software compliance standards, especially for integrations and data analytics solutions.
• We implement prototypes using emerging technologies and inventive methods.
• We perform ongoing maintenance and review of application systems and programs, identify issues, and develop effective remedies.
• We design and implement cloud service delivery models such as PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and DaaS to meet business, security, and compliance needs.
• We lead the creation of reusable, scalable, and secure multi-cloud architectures.
• We implement Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and automated configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitLab.
• We apply DevSecOps best practices so security and compliance are embedded throughout the cloud development lifecycle.
• We assess existing applications for cloud readiness and create tailored migration strategies.
• We lead cloud migration efforts while minimizing disruption and maximizing performance improvements.
• We develop strategies for recovery from failures, high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
• We recommend enhancements to application performance, cloud spend, and scalability.
• We partner with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure cloud deployments meet internal and regulatory standards.
• We implement cloud-native security services and monitor for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and threats.
• We mentor junior and mid-level developers on cloud technologies, best practices, and solution delivery, and we serve as technical advisors across cross-functional teams while participating in enterprise cloud governance.
