Teaching Assistant

The Teacher Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Teachers and the Director in creating a nurturing and secure environment for the children, while also contributing to the development of high-quality educational programs. You will provide classroom support and any other duties as assigned that ensure a quality experience for each child we serve. Key Responsibilities: Support the implementation of curricula activities and foster a culture of active participation among children. Participate in activities, maintain classroom organization, and ensure the availability of necessary materials. Engage in regular, informal discussions and provide progress reports to parents to keep them informed. Model healthy habits and encourage self-care and good hygiene among children. Ensure a smooth transition from home to the child care center on a daily basis. Adhere to all center policies and state regulations. Develop a personal professional development plan to continuously improve the quality of care and education. Operate a 14-passenger van or short bus with training and a valid driver's license. Required Qualifications: At least 1-2 years of professional child care experience. A high level of energy and enthusiasm. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong communication and basic computer skills, with the ability to express oneself clearly in writing. An understanding of child development and growth. Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Pass a thorough background check and meet health screening requirements.
