Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to assess clients' mental health needs, enabling the development of tailored treatment plans aimed at achieving beneficial outcomes.

  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals, groups, and families, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches.

  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate client care, ensuring that all aspects of patients’ mental health are addressed holistically.

  • Administer crisis intervention strategies for clients facing acute distress, ensuring their safety and well-being while employing empathy and professionalism.

  • Participate in community outreach initiatives to foster mental health awareness and promote the resources available at the center, enhancing our visibility and encouraging individuals to seek help.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will focus on a diverse patient population, dealing with a broad spectrum of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance abuse disorders. You will work closely with individuals from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds, enhancing your cultural competence and ability to provide tailored interventions based on individual client needs.

Qualifications\n

  • Active and independent licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

  • A completed master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
  • \n
  • Proven ability to establish rapport and create therapeutic relationships, demonstrating exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with clients from all walks of life.

  • Cultural competence is essential to serve our diverse client base effectively and sensitively.
  • \n
  • Organizational skills and proficient time management, ensuring that documentation and reporting are completed accurately and promptly.

Preferred Experience\n

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar mental health counseling role.

  • Experience working in community mental health settings and knowledge of local mental health resources and agencies.

  • Familiarity with current mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
