This role is ideal for an RVT who enjoys working closely with board-certified surgeons and takes pride in delivering exceptional perioperative and anesthetic care.In this position, you will play a vital role in surgical nursing, anesthesia induction and monitoring, and patient recovery, supporting a wide variety of specialty procedures in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.Core ResponsibilitiesPerform all essential duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician with a focus on surgery and anesthesiaPrepare surgical suites, equipment, and instrumentation for a variety of proceduresInduce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia for routine, advanced, and high-risk surgical casesProvide comprehensive anesthetic monitoring, including:ECGBlood pressureCapnographyPulse oximetryTemperatureVentilator settingsCRIsBlood gas measurementsAccurately calculate, administer, and manage anesthetic and analgesic medicationsAssist surgeons before, during, and after surgical proceduresMaintain sterile technique and assist with surgical scrubbing, gowning, and glovingPlace and maintain IV catheters, arterial lines, and urinary catheters as neededProvide attentive post-operative care, pain management, and recovery monitoringMonitor, document, and communicate changes in patient status to the medical teamMaintain accurate anesthetic records, surgical logs, and medical documentationProvide professional and compassionate client communication when appropriateUphold hospital standards with courtesy, professionalism, and empathy at all timesJob RequirementsActive California RVT license (or ability to transfer from out of state)Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Veterinary TechnicianPrior experience in surgery and anesthesia requiredComfortable monitoring ASA III+ patientsStrong understanding of anesthetic agents, equipment, and monitoring modalitiesAbility to multitask while remaining detail-oriented in a fast-paced surgical settingExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to safely lift up to 50 lbs and assist with team lifts for larger patientsCompensation$27.00 - $34.00 per hour, dependent on experience$500 for each completed surgery for on-call shiftsDifferentials available for swings, overnights, weekendsScheduleWednesday through Saturday 9:00am - 7:00pmOn-call shifts availableEmployee BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance options401(k) with company matchEmployer-paid basic life insurance with optional add-on policiesPaid time off and sick payEmployee discounts and insurance perksEmployee referral bonus programMental health support through TalkspaceUniform allowanceContinuing education support for licensed staffCareer development and advancement opportunities within specialty departmentsLocation: 2965 Edinger Avenue, Tustin, CA 92780Base Pay: $27 - $34 USDVeritas Veterinary Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
