Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process with technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members. Shift Details Full‑time, 1800‑0630 Essential Functions Assess: Perform an appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status, including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills as appropriate, and seek information from the interdisciplinary team. Plan: Use assessment information and critical thinking to collaboratively develop individualized plans of care, involving the patient, family, team, and physicians. Implement: Direct the interdisciplinary care team through delegation, coordination, and collaboration, providing or delegating care consistent with the plan and guidelines. Evaluate: Evaluate patient response to interventions, review achievement of goals, and revise the plan of care as indicated. Professionalism: Promote the nursing profession, integrate legal and ethical standards, comply with regulatory standards, practice within scope of licensure, and maintain accurate documentation. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment. RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four years of hire. Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025. Physical Requirements Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, and patient needs. Frequent verbal communication with patients and providers, requiring listening and clear speaking. Manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment and perform computer use and typing. Required to lift, transfer, and move patients, including carrying supplies and equipment of varying weights. Ability to walk, assist with ambulating patients, and navigate crowded spaces with equipment. May be required to stand for extended periods. For driving roles: expected to drive a vehicle, requiring sight, reading, and navigation skills.
