Quick Facts: Location: Minneapolis, MN Start Date: 09/14/2026 End Date: 12/14/2026 Shift: 24-hour in-house call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM); options for 12-hour shifts Hours/week: Full-Time Employment Type: Temporary Licensure/Certifications: MN license preferred; IMLC required if no MN license; Board-certified Ob/Gyn; BLS Experience: Trauma I/II experience highly preferred; ideally 2+ years in OB hospitalist roles Pay & Benefits: Hourly Rate: $5,779.80 Pay package discussed upon application Benefits include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Licensure, travel, and certification reimbursements when applicable Paid sick time in accordance with law 24/7 dedicated support team What You’ll Do: Provide inpatient obstetric care for high-risk pregnancies and urgent OB needs Co-manage patients with Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists, including assistance with C-sections and obstetric procedures Handle emergency cases and complex obstetric scenarios Support NICU and nursery units, including level II nursery care Document all patient interactions using Epic (Excellian) and Obix systems Assist with deliveries and postpartum care, focusing on high-risk patient management Collaborate with team members in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced environment What You Need: Required: Minnesota medical license or eligibility via IMLC Board-certified Ob/Gyn BLS certification Trauma I or II experience preferred Ability to start ASAP on a clean file for emergency temp permits Preferred: Experience in high-risk obstetric care; level II nursery knowledge Flexibility for 24-hour shift rotations or 12-hour shifts About the Assignment: This position at a leading Minneapolis hospital serves a predominantly high-risk obstetric population, with over 90% of maternal cases requiring MFM involvement. The OB Hospitalist will be integral to providing acute obstetric and labor/delivery care, supporting both high-acuity cases and standard obstetric needs. The team is well-supported by in-house MFM specialists, ICU providers, and a collaborative clinical environment, ensuring comprehensive care delivery for complex cases.
