MissionCare at Bennington is seeking a Therapeutic Recreation Assistant (TRD preferred) Summary The primary role of the Therapeutic Recreation Assistant is to run and implement therapeutic social and cognitive entertainment as well as activities, trips and events for residents. Responsibilities Complete and follow activity calendars which should have a variety of activities scheduled. Participates, organizes, and implements daily social and therapeutic activities and events. Qualifications Certification as a Therapeautic Recreation Director, preferred Must have experience running and implementing therapeutic programs, activities and events for seniors or physically/ mentally challenged adults in a clinical setting. Must be able to work with all disciplines in a challenging multi-cultural environment that target specific behavioral and/or patient groups as needed.
