Occupational Health Registered Nurse or FNP/ANP (BH-398314) Location: South San Francisco, United States Sector: Medical & Nursing Salary: $60.00 to $92.00 per hour Occupational Health Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner needed for a 24 hour per week, temp contract opportunity with Yoh’s well-known biopharmaceutical client located in South San Francisco, CA. Start ASAP and cover ongoing until further notice - approximately 4-6 weeks - Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 7:00am to 3:30pm. Provide emergency care, first-aid and episodic treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses, within standing orders. This position requires the knowledge of prevention of illness & injury, protection from work-related and environmental hazards, and promotion and restoration of health. RN will maintain accurate records related to OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, and corporate reporting. Top Skills You Should Possess: Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (FNP/ANP) license in state of California Minimum 3 years of experience as a Nurse/NP in an Occupational Health, Employee Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Corrections, School Nursing, and/or Family Practice setting Audiometry testing (e.g., CAOHC/COHC Certified) - or willing to obtain in the future Trained in spirometry (e.g., NIOSH Certified) - or willing to obtain in the future High level of initiative and sound independent judgment What You’ll Be Doing: Assessment, triage, treatment, and education for sick or injured employees Perform onsite physical assessments (pre-placement, return-to-work, fitness-for-duty) Promote wellness/wellbeing initiatives at the site Provide medical testing such as audiograms, vision testing, pulmonary function, respirator fit testing, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, and perform limited interpretation of tests TB tests, drug screens, Flu shots, and blood draws if needed Charting/documentation of care using EMR system (OHM) Case management Respond to emergencies onsite and provide emergency medical care as needed What You Need to Bring to the Table: Ideal candidate is flexible to cover alternative shift times Tues/Wed/Thurs, depending on the needs of the clinic (e.g., 8am to 5pm, 6am to 2:30pm, 7am to 4pm, etc); otherwise will consistently be 7:00am to 3:30pm Current BLS For NP: must be nationally certified (ANCC or AANP) and have NPI For NP: current prescription authority required (DEA highly preferred) Computer skills with previous experience using MS Office suite and EMR systems (OHM experience a plus) Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills What’s In It For You?
