Position: Medical Director for Observation Services in Harrisburg, PA

• Recruit and retain physicians for the Emergency Department Observation unit.
• Oversee quality metrics and outcomes for the observation program.
• Engage with referring physicians and address their concerns.
• Assess and provide feedback to practicing ED Observation physicians regarding their clinical and administrative performance.
• Ensure that patients under the care of ED Observation physicians meet established quality and patient satisfaction standards set by regulatory and payer organizations.
• Act as a liaison between the ED Observation program and various clinical departments.
• Guarantee timely communication with patients and provide opportunities for their questions to be addressed.
• Collaborate with other areas of the health system to achieve organizational goals related to the ED Observation program.
• Partner with nursing and other clinical team members to develop and implement care protocols that ensure optimal patient care.
