Electronic/Assembly Technician
Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find electronic/assembly technicians for a manufacturing in South Austin. In this role, you'll support the assembly and production of mechanical and electrical systems in a shop environment. This is an exciting opportunity for hands-on technicians who enjoy working with tools, wiring, and detailed build processes.
As a technician, you'll be responsible for:
- Performing mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies.
- Completing electrical wiring, cable, and harness fabrication.
- Connecting battery systems and performing interconnections.
- Reading and following schematics, build documentation, and work instructions.
- Using standard shop tools to complete production tasks.
- Ensuring quality and accuracy in all assemblies.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Supporting team production goals in a fast-paced setting.
What you'll need:
- 3-6 years hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and basic electrical wiring.
- Experience with crimping, harness building, and shop tools.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Comfortable working in a shop/production environment.
- No electrician or engineering license required.
