Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Patrol in Santa Margarita, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, operate a vehicle as part of assigned duties, help to deter security-related incidents, and report observations. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide customer service while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

- Provide customer service to utility operations personnel, contractors, visitors, and/or the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
