Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.Serve as the F-35 Core Processing (CPSW) Software Architect.In this role, the candidate will drive the F-35 CPSWsoftware architecture decisions for all F-35 contracts.The candidate will be responsible for making highleveldesign decisions, work to enforce technicalstandards for all supported platforms and design forre-use and affordability. This will require significantexperience with F-35 Mission Systems architecture,display software, and knowledge of how F-35CPSW fit into the F-35 architectural paradigm. Thesuccessful candidate will also have experience withmultiple software architectures, includingboth core processing infrastructures and applications tosupport architecture decisions. Thecandidate will be required to interface with thecustomer so must have a strong knowledge of howthe ultimate customer uses the software, how tointeract with those users in a supportive, butbusiness-wise manner. In addition, the candidate willevaluate and recommend tools, technologies andprocesses to ensure the highest quality product.Finally, the candidate will be required to work in anagile software development environment andcoordinate with Product Owners and other peerorganizations to ensure the design andimplementation of display software to address thefor solutions by means of data processingequipment. Experience in the following:Technical Lead experience• CPI architectures typically found in aircraftsystems• Middleware, firmware, drivers, and core processing software languageimplementations typically found in aircraft systems• software development in C++ specifically aimedat embedded avionics and aircraft systems• scripting experience (Python, Perl, etc.)• operating systems (Green Hills, Linux, etc.) forembedded Real-Time environments used in avionicand aircraft systems• design, integration and test of embedded displaysystems and software operational programs.• complete software lifecycle development processand automated test philosophies• Agile/Scrum DevelopmentIn this role, you must have demonstrated effectivecommunication skills as the position will requirefrequent inter-organizational and outside customerinteractions. The successful candidate will haveexperience and or knowledge of the ability tosupport frequent travel for integration and testactivities is required. C++/Ada development, Redmission problems or questions in computer languagefor solutions by means of data processingequipment.
