Of the 10 million Americans struggling with opioid misuse, only 1 in 10 receive treatment. This is an accessibility crisis, and we are on a mission to solve it by bringing life-saving care to the 89% currently left behind. Through a single app, Bicycle Health combines Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) with behavioral healthcare, drug screening, therapy, and peer support.

The Licensing Specialist is responsible for handling all aspects of licensing for our clinicians according to state compliance and insurance standards. This role is a critical part of Bicycle Health's operations and essential to our ability to onboard providers, as well as our ability to expand our services to new geographical areas. 

Location:  Remote

Target Pay:  $27-31/hr- Compensation to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. What we are looking for:

• Licensing & Regulatory Expertise: 1–3+ years of experience navigating multi-state clinician licensing, State/Federal regulations, Controlled Substance/DEA rules, Collaborative Practice Agreements, and interstate compacts (IMLCC/NLC).

• Cross-Functional Operations & Board Relations: Proven track record of coordinating directly with medical boards, government agencies, and internal credentialing teams to streamline multi-state applications, renewals, and CME tracking.

• Detail-Oriented Organization & Tech Savvy: Strong organizational skills to maintain pristine provider databases in Google Suite, resolve licensing discrepancies, and succeed in a fully remote work environment.

• Direct Impact on Clinical Expansion: Serves as a vital operational gatekeeper whose work directly enables Bicycle Health to onboard clinicians and scale services into new geographical markets.

• Complex Multi-State & Interstate Compact Scope: Involves navigating intricate cross-licensing requirements across multiple states, including specialized frameworks like IMLCC, NLC, Collaborative Practice Agreements, and DEA/Controlled Substance regulations.

• End-to-End Regulatory & Stakeholder Coordination: Bridges high-touch external liaison work—directly communicating with state medical boards and government agencies—with internal, cross-functional database management alongside credentialing and clinical operations teams.
