As a Career Counselor, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals explore career options, set goals, and develop effective strategies to achieve career success. Your expertise in psychology, combined with your passion for helping others, will guide clients through career assessments, provide personalized counseling sessions, and facilitate workshops and seminars.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual career counseling sessions to assess clients' interests, aptitudes, and values, and assist them in exploring suitable career paths.
• Administer and interpret career assessment tools to provide valuable insights and guidance to clients.
• Develop personalized career development plans in collaboration with clients, outlining clear goals, action steps, and timelines.
• Provide guidance on resume writing, job search strategies, and interview preparation techniques.
• Facilitate career-related workshops, seminars, and group counseling sessions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and labor market information to provide accurate and relevant career advice.
• Collaborate with educational institutions, employers, and community organizations to establish partnerships and resources for clients.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in career counseling, preferably in an educational or counseling setting.
• Strong knowledge of career development theories, assessment tools, and counseling techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
• Empathetic and patient demeanor, with a genuine desire to help others achieve their career goals.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficient in using career assessment tools and technology platforms related to career counseling.
• Knowledge of current labor market trends, industries, and career pathways.
• Familiarity with resume writing, job search strategies, and interview preparation techniques.
• Professional certifications in career counseling or related fields are a plus.
