Assistant Store Manager - Cedar Park, TX

This position reports directly to the store manager. Assistant Manager – Store is responsible for all aspects of customer relations and order processing. Will also assist the store manager in daily operations to control inventory, expenses and staff. This position is required to perform all services necessary for successful sales environment including, but not limited to obtaining or receiving merchandise, totaling bill, accepting payment, and providing excellent customer service in a retail store environment.The primary job functions include, but are not limited to:Plan and assign daily goals, tasks and assignments to staff members. Assure proper completion through follow-upAssist in monitoring sales performance, assisting in adjusting strategies when necessaryManagement of all office tasks including management of funds and media, receiving, inventory, payroll, and writing the employee scheduleResponsible for communication with all staffHave ability to run all aspects of store in manager’s absenceAnalyze and measure business trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectivesControl shrink, expenses, and payrollEnsure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-through and audits, etc.Continually evaluate and react to performance issues; complete and administer 90-Day and Annual employee reviewsTrain and develop store employees in all aspects of the business; direct and monitor training and development for all store personnelAbility to handle and resolve issues between employees and customers and/or among employeesMonitor and assist in Accounts Receivable collectionsWillingness and ability to work additional hours (including weekends & holidays) as needed and travel to various company locationsEnsure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer serviceRoutinely contact and visit customers to foster improved communications and build upon relationshipsMonitor sales trends, pricing and inventory levels and offer advice to Store ManagerTrain and develop store staff, insuring all company policies and procedures are followedMake proper, necessary decisions when the Store Manager is unavailableMust present a good image of the company through proper dress and attitudeMust participate in and complete company sponsored and supported trainingAttends training or uses printed media to increase product knowledgePerform any other tasks or duties assigned by the Store ManagerThe skill requirements include, but are not limited to:Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systemsAbility to process information and merchandise through computer system and POS register systemAbility to communicate with associates and guestsAbility to read, count and write accurately to complete all documentationAbility to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register areaAbility to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the storeAbility to climb laddersAbility to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-50 poundsAbility to work varied hours/days to oversee store operationsMust be dependable as a key holderAbility to open and close store as requiredAbility to balance books and do deposit as requiredMust maintain regular and prompt attendanceAttitude that supports the Company’s goals and valuesExperience Requirements:One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in automotive retail management and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceEducation Requirements:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience#AL123 #J-18808-Ljbffr A-Line Auto Parts
