Location: Salem, Oregon Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing coverage needs Schedule: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, four 10-hour shifts per week Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient Cardiothoracic SurgeryCompensation & Benefits

Provide perioperative care for cardiothoracic surgery patients

First assist in cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures

Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH)

Manage patients in the Cardiac ICU and step-down units

Participate in inpatient and outpatient cardiothoracic care

Collaborate closely with surgeons, advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff

Support continuity of care throughout the surgical episode Requirements

Active Oregon Physician Assistant license required

Minimum of 2 years of Cardiothoracic Surgery PA experience

ACLS certification required

ATLS certification required

Prescriptive authority required

Oregon state CSR required

Epic EMR proficiency required

COVID-19 vaccination required

Clean NPDB preferred Facility & Practice Highlights

Established cardiothoracic surgery program

Approximately 5 cardiac surgeries and 3 thoracic surgeries weekly

Cardiac ICU census of approximately 7 patients

Collaborative staffing model including cardiac surgeons, thoracic surgeons, and experienced PAs

No transplant procedures

Maquet EVH system utilized

Vein harvesting focus; no radial artery harvesting
